Uploading to Sound Cloud (Private)?

Hi, does anybody know how to listen to a song that you have uploaded on Sound Cloud as private (not public) if you are not logged into that account? For example if you are working on a demo that you want to share with the rest of the band and certain other people but not make it public?

I thought you would just use the url as a link like on a YouTube unlisted video, but when you do that you just get a message saying “This track was not found. Maybe it has been removed Learn more” and a link to the band’s account. e.g. »

I have searched this question on Google and YouTube and got nowhere! Thanks for your help. Gareth.

I don't think it is possible since SC doesn't use email or any other way to verify except by logging in that the song is private. It can't be anonymous to stay private. There has to be someway to validate if you think about it.

What is the private option for then? Who can listen to it?

We use drop box for audio files for a production company I do lots of work for. sometimes, they mess up permissions and I get to hear other works in progress - that's always interesting.

It has been awhile since I have used this feature. Try this link, I have set it to private, if you can access, then that is how you do it:

I. think this works but the forum has replaced the url with an imbedded link, so you can play the song on in the thread but you can’t on Sound cloud. Maybe if you post the link with something inside it to keep is just text. I will try spaces between the slashes e.g. …

That works! So if you post the url with spaces after the slashes it will keep the url visible and accessible. As you can see my song is not accessible when you enter that url, but yours will be because your song plays in the form.

Well, it sent me to SoundCloud once I removed the spaces, but gave a message it couldn't be found. If you rename it, you have changed the URL. +

I don't know what the hell is going on. Your private upload works perfectly well. Mine you get that error message!
