    Mystery whining/beeping noises?

It does sound like phone interference so it's probably the iPad but it's a lot softer than the cell phone interference that I'm usually dealing with when I tape meetings but I probably would just ignore something at that volume level :) Also try without the FetHead

Tricks and tips for the video to go viral

Viral videos are generally a 'shared experience' ... so they just have to be some sort of experience people want to have themselves but usually can't due to rarity, danger, time commitment, or skill level... or sometime crystallizing a common experience in it's basic form... ie working with...

Rotating Hip Hop music video... too much?

I didn't watch it full screen but I think it works well.

Home video + audio recording setup question

The easiest way is probably what you're doing now... otherwise you need a video mixer (either software or hardware) and a computer to record that. editing after the fact allows you to record higher quality video without much hassle. Another option would be to buy a camera that can encode...

    Video production

Two things. 1. The main issues that cause problems with corporate shoots is lack of prompt response from the client when the production company asks a question, and last minute changes. Also, leading into the next area - a lack of advertising plan. 2. These are rhetorical as this isn't a...

    Undoing Vocal Lessons?

I'm not a singer, but I would suggest taking dance (nonclassical aka salsa or hiphop) and improv acting classes in order to practice expression - a lot of performing is being comfortable with yourself in front of other people.

Opinion on our latest music video,

Lose the opening title sequence. It's almost 10% of the entire video and covers the singers face when she starts singing. There are moments when the singers head gets cut out of frame.

Once upon a time a mini linux OS called m-dist...

The other aspect is that many of these old computers turn into appliances. My old edit desktop is now a DIT workstation running Slackware... basically just copies large video files from one drive to another, generates and checks md5 hashs, and generates parity files for archiving. Depending on...

Once upon a time a mini linux OS called m-dist...

I'm mostly doing video productions on Arch but moving back over to Slackware. I would not recommend using a Linux... or any other OS from 2003 for anything. Right now, I would suggest the latest Slackware with light weight software... however with 256MB RAM it's probably time to scrap it...

Wireless Mic solutions to the 600mhz auction (and future ones) in the US

I run sound at a church and do some events that use a couple wireless mics all in the 500mhz and 600mhz frequency bands. We dodged the previous auction but the 600mhz band is the one we use with our Audio Technica ATW-somethingsomething wireless mics. I was wondering what the future of...

    Any help identifying these microphones?

The TG and general shape leads me to think a Beyerdynamic TG series

Are visuals music videos LEGIT music videos?

Similar visuals, in my experience, typically fall under 'Installation Art" as they are growing in popularity replacing the typical light show for band back drops and visuals for clubs and galleries. ie Instead of sinking tens of thousands of dollars in individual lights that need a controller...

    Linux DAW ???

I've been using Linux since 1998 and switched over completely in 2006, if I recall correctly. I am mostly doing video production nowadays but often use the audio tools. The first thing to understand is that it is a very different culture. It expects you to know how to find and read...

A good, easy to use video editor?

Fundamentally, like audio software, almost every video editing software does the same stuff with very little variance in terms of splicing, transitions, compositing, and titling. The difference is going to be the artistic use of the tools and materials... and as far as software is concerned...

My first vid ,. Heavens door (knockin on)

Doing this as a commercial service changes a couple things. Keep in mind, covered songs require licensing. It is essentially the same model as a wedding video with a live performance. I don't do weddings as part of my production business so I don't know the details to licensing covers. But I...
