VST preset keeps on changing to default

Hi Moebek This has nothing to do with cubase but with the midi file you use. The maker of this midi file wanted to use a standard Midi instrument and put a controller in the track, to make it happen. Go To midi/open List editor In the beginning of the list editor you can see the programma...

    Which version should I buy

To start just buy Cubase essential 5 and start to learn how it works. In two years time you have learned enough that you might want to upgrade to studio. Please also realise that you need an audio interface. Cheers Wim

Yes you can and of course you can us a wrapper. This solves your problem probably. If the plugin is old you might need to export it with Real Time Export. Cheers wim

    Cubase 5 and Wavelab 4

You might be right on the first point:laughings: You probably trying to open a .CPR file. This is not audio and is the save format for Cubase only. The file contains only where to find everything for that song. So you have to export your song or track first or do what chili states. By the...

    Cubase midi problem

Strange midi latency is very rare. Increase your buffersize of your audio card and see what happens. It must have to do with your new audio card settings. Are you shure you selected the driver in Cubase under Devices, maybe it is using the crappy windows driver. Cheers Wim

Error msg after processing audio elements

Your computer crashes on relative simple VST's. Probably for some reason or another it cannot handle the workload. This is not a cubase problem, but sounds like a windows or hardware problem. Did you tweak your computer for recording? Cheers Wim

    Organizing audio files.

Also in the pool you can Remove unused media and if you want it from your harddisk use Empty Trash This saves a lot of space. Cheers Wim

    Distorted Crackling

Crackling is a sign that the computer has trouble handling what you are doing. I assume it is a fairly new and powerfull computer, so the hardware is probably not the problem, unless your audio interface is set at a very low latency. Increase the latency and see what happens. If there is no or...

Garritan Personal Orchestra with Cubase LE 4

Have a look here what Cubase LE 4 can do http://www.steinbergusers.com/cubase/Cubase4CompChart.pdf You have to select your sound in the inspector of your instrument track, looks like you can only use the stripped down Halion one. You always have to create an instrument track for each...

    Fragmented

Yes you can do this with the glue tool. But better is to make an audio mix down of all the tracks, pieces etc and indicate that you want the resulting file loaded in Cubase again. Than you have one nice track again. Please use the right names: Pieces are called Events in Cubase and the area...

    midi velocity

I donot see the problem of midi velocities. If you transfer all your drum tracks one by one to audio you can use your faders to get any volume you want. So midi volume are not that critical. Cheers Wim

    midi velocity

Yes with the Logical editor. There are many options But also in the Key editor if you want them to all have the same lower velocity. Just select all F# en change the velocity. Cheers Wim
