The highest I can go with sound canvas in 68 milliseconds. If I go higher I get clicks. I have an m-audio 2496. It's weird because with the Eastwest colossus sampler I don't get any problems.

When using a gate, which parameter should you change first? For example if I'm working on a bass drum with a little high hat bleed on it should I adjust the threshold first until I can hear only a minimal amount of bleed then start using the other parameters?

Well I don't have one at the moment and I would like to work at home as much as possible. We will be working with samplers the next semester so it would be too costly to buy a hardware sound module just for this purpose.

Thanks for your reply. I tried using Roland sound canvas and it seems to be alright now. With wavetable however, I have the same problem when I use it with Sibelius. So is wavetable really that useless when inputting notes?

I tried to format my Lacie external drive to FAT32 because my school uses mac and I have windows but if I go to disc management then format, there is no choice except NTFS. Is it even possible to format to FAT32 using a windows system? Thanks

Yeah I guess going for protools is the most logical thing to do. It won't hurt me if I use protools for school related stuff and use Cubase for my own projects. Thanks for the advice guys.
