does anyone know how devin townsend gets his guitar sound with lots of delay ? it sounds really cool, the delay sounds like a synth pad underneath the guitar sound but it doesn't sound all muddy. I'm sure there is a fair amount of delay with some compression and good eq adjustment. any ideas...

what do people mean by re-amping a guitar part? i guess something like recording a clean version of a riff and sending it out of your sound card into an amp then recording it with a mic? or something like that?

yeah man, it sounds real good when double tracked, i'm trying to really nail my mic technique and getting good tones, if i can get it sounding good with one guitar, it should sound FAT whith double tracked guitar.
