    Poor man's studio Wow I have really not thought about how much money I've got tied up in this stuff until I took the poll. When you add up everything over the past few years it gets pretty costly - even for my small setup.

    BonVanna I think Nirvana gets blamed because of the timing of everything. Bon Jovi helped pave the way with their smiley :) spin on metal. I never considered Bon Jovi as metal anyway. I call that glam rock (i.e. poison, warrant etc).

    What is a good vocal mic for just recording

    Mics i like As far as condenser mics go, I can recommend the Audio-Technica AT2020 if you are on a budget or the AT4040 if you can afford it. I've also used the Behringer B-1 ($99) which works well also. I have only used the SM57's and 58's for live music - not in a studio setting. I would...
