My label is currently looking for artists....

I don't have any stuff to send in, but if you need a new site I'm willing to work for cheap. It looks like it could use a revamp.

    mackie 820i

Weird. I've always heard the opposite about Mackie.

Put your band in Rock Band 2 (Rock Band Network)

People bitter about Rock Band/Guitar Hero are people who've never played either for more than the time it takes to realize it's not the same as playing guitar. Try a couple songs on easy, you'll probably love it. Personally I find that playing drums on Rock Band 2 helps my tempo and consistency...

    mackie 820i

On the contrary, Mackie is a bit more open in terms of their control surfaces with the HUI protocol. I couldn't tell you if the 820i is going to work with Reaper, but chances are very good that it will, as it claims "Onyx-i FireWire Recording Mixers are now fully compatible with all major DAWs...

Is this soldering station suitable for SMD work?

Oh lord, that looks intense. Can't wait to get some practice. Exchanging the Blackjack for a Weller WESD-51, I think it's going to work out great.

Is this soldering station suitable for SMD work?

Ah, gotcha. Found tips at $9.50 a pop, so they're I guess middle of the road in terms of price. One more thing, if I start with lead solder and move to lead-free, do I have to buy new tips or will I be able to reuse them? Thanks again for answering my questions.

Is this soldering station suitable for SMD work?

Of course I'd forget the link http://www.blackjacksolderwerks.com/bk3000lf.html Thanks for the tips. I do have lots of narrow gauge solder, but none of it is lead free which is one of the things I'm unclear about regarding this station. Don't really see how the tips would have a problem dealing...

Is this soldering station suitable for SMD work?

Was given this for my birthday and while it's no Weller, it's much better than what I currently have (a piece of shit Radioshack iron). Sort of curious about two things 1. Will this iron be fine for lead solder? I've got so much of it, it'd seem a shame to spring for lead-free and waste what I...

to mastering guys: deathmetal, how should unmastered extreme metal sound?

Listen to a couple old Atheist or Death records, that's somewhat how it should sound (but hopefully a bit more polished). Mastering should bulk up the stuff between the clicky kicks and meaty snares/toms to create the full wall of sound that most extreme metal has.

So I know this feature is there, but I can't figure it out.

I don't understand what you'd need to write code for, as long as you have your device sending MIDI control to Reaper, you can go to the action list, add, and it should work.

So I know this feature is there, but I can't figure it out.

Okay, so if you haven't figured this out yet, I just tried and this seems to work. Go to preferences, MIDI Devices, then hit the Add joystick MIDI... button under your inputs. Select your device, set it to the generic script, test a couple buttons, check "Send as MIDI control/learn," hit OK. Do...

    Exporting Wav. Files to mp3?

Put the lame_enc.dll file into C:\WINDOWS\system32 If it still tells you that it needs the file, you are doing something terribly, terribly wrong.

    Reaper Reaper REAPER!!!

And then they try to mix it themselves and realize that it actually takes practice and decent ears to get good results, thus disenchanting them further with the recording process and sending them right back to you. It's win/win.
