Apparently you don't see the advantage of one method over the other. Putting a machine into record without any tracks armed means that you can flip on the record enable on whichever track you wanted for whatever period you want. If you want to erase track 1 at 1:00 to 2:00, and erase track 2 at...

Sounds like you don't have the HD24 in Auto Input mode. Is the result still the same when you disarm the tracks?

You can mix analog and digital and it's in banks of 2, not 8. So it's very versatile! I advise you to go to groups.yahoo.com and search for HD24, and join this group. You can get answers to any of your HD24 questions there!
