Are you talking about plugging in the headphones to a keyboard and then the recording doesn't sound the same? If so it's because cubase is simply recording MIDI data. So the voices in your keyboard are different than the voices in your computer.

On that unit if you are using 1/4" ins only the first 2 are instrument inputs. 3-8 are line inputs. So on 3-8 you need some sort of preamp.
