Hey guys,
So I decided that I was going to stop using samples and loops and go with MIDI drums. I'd heard good things about Bluenoise's MyDrumset, so I downloaded it from their website. However, I haven't done any MIDI before, and I can't get the VSTi to make any noise at all. I've put the...
Ok so I've gone back and redone some of the mixing...

Actually, the singer is a friend of mine who wanted to try recording a song or two, and so I went along. Like I said, I'm very new to the ballgame...
Okay now tell me what you think of the edited version please! I tried to make all the effects less subtle....what I had done before was double the vocal track and move one of the two a smidgeon behond the other so as to create a thicker sounding vocal. But all that came out of that was...
Just to give your thread some more posts I'll pitch in I suppose.....
I'm not really qualified to be giving you any advice though. Hopefully some real pros can give you some advice. If it's necessary, that is. Sorry I can't be of any help!

Hey everyone -
I'm a beginner, and I'm considering converting to Reaper because of its low price and full functionality. But before I do, I was wondering what type of vstis the program came with. You see, I would like to use MIDI drums, as that's what I have been using in Ableton so far. I...

Thanks!

Hey Firestorm 79,
So far, I have found the 8i6 to be able to do anything I ask of it. You're right, it has 2 preamps, which can be used as XLR or instrument jacks. It has 2 more line inputs on the back, and then midi in/out and spdif. The real difference between the 8i6 and 18i6 is in the...
How do you go about making sure the bridge will be in the right place? Silly question I know, but I can't seem to find a good solution to placing the bridge
Like others have said, I'm not sure there's much of a difference between 5" and 6". Maybe try a different monitor pair out and you could get results you like more
Thank you guys for responding! Reaper sounds like a good option for me. Also, yes the Rode is my only mic currently. So I should get another few mics before I move on to other things?
Thanks for responding!
Yes, that's my only microphone right now. Should I collect another few before I start upgrading other items?
And thanks for the information about Reaper, I think I'll give it a go :)
