Is Cubase, or any other program you know of, compatible with the old Ensoniq PARIS software?? It saves as a .PAF file and I want to know if it can be opened and edited and/or added to in another program such as cubase, or pro tools etc...
If Interested....

Okay, I've got my 1010LT hooked up, got a mic hooked directly to the xlr input and have got nothing. I'm new to computer recording, but not computers.
Is there a setting on the patchbay or on cubase or something? The sound card is working since I can listen to audio on it, just can't get any...

I have no idea about compressing drums other than knowing people do it. Do you just compress cymbals? Do you wait until post-production to do it? How much should you use? What should it accomplish? Can you get good drum recordings if you don't compress drums?

I have the Delta 1010 which gives me 8 RCA inputs. I want to record drums using all of these inputs simultaneous. What is the best way to go from a MIC into an RCA plug with out having to submix. I want 8 seperate tracks. Not 8 submixed into one track. Help Me Please.
I love the sound of Pat Wilson's drums on Pinkerton. BESIDES the specific Kit & Tuning of the drums what are some factors that can help reach this desired sound/tone.
I'm guessing a big room with perimeter condensor mic's as well as pretty flat EQ job.
Come on guys, let's see your prognosis.
