    Setting up a "studio" in my basement, need help

    ...a presonus FP10 has 8 preamps, and is an audio interface! Need more inputs at once, get another one! 16 simultaneous mics, add a BCF2000 control surface and a good set of monitor speakers and your dancing!

    I'm shattered and desolate ~ Logic can't find Firepod midi ~ counselling needed

    I had EXACTLY the same problem - I thought it was my firepod firmware... in the end I wiped my PC clean, re-installed windows and logic etc... and it was all back to normal. Reaper must have done something! So I'm not going there again. I've got Pro 8 on the mac now anyway!

    silly me! OH CRAP - I MISSED THE WORD "DON'T" OUT!!!!!!! with software you DONT need a mixing desk! A control surface sunch as the BCF2000 is ideal. Sorry, I caused confusion!

    "crowd" sound effects?

    Soccer anthem I did an anthem for Partick Thistle Football Club (Scotland!) - there was a crowd chant in it. I had a stereo pair of mics and over dubbed 3 men of various ages and on women, chant the same thing but each time change position around the room. It worked quite well!
