well, i can say this with certainty. listening to an original wave file vs a soundcloud file of the same song i can hear everything that is missing

i've been using a pair of Monoprice small condenser mics on overheads and can't be more pleased for the sound they replicate and the costs. Only 99 usd for the pair. they also work pretty well on acoustic instruments. a tad bit of high end , but pretty much satisfying.

i don't really understand the point of an iso booth. if you're using the room for recording ,you can track all the basic tracks and then do overdubs in the same room.
