Lyrically I agree with most of the comments. If it's a Singer/Songwriter song the lyrics need to up to scratch 100%. As for the song, it's a really nice listen. Very pitchy at times but I guess she as never had any coaching. The voice has a nice tone and with the right practice it's possible to get something out of it. Good luck and keep us updated if she is going to give it a try.

What part are you having difficulties with? Is it the writing part or do you hit the wall with the composition?

The flow is much more important I think. However, as you already mentioned, rhyming became so wide spread that in today's music it is hard to avoid.

Reverb really helps to make it sit better in the mix. Glad you were able to fix the problem. Always a hard task when switching mics.

Maybe not the easiest song to get started with. It might be a little bit too much for you at the moment I'm afraid. Try to use your headvoice, seems like you're trying to avoid it like the pest. It could also go with some more power behind it. But, as already said, not the easiest song to sing...

A little pitchy here and there but a great tone in your voice. Also, Sky Full of Stars is not the easiest song to sing.

Try to make it more catchy. It's very monotone at the moment and I'm missing the part that makes me wanna keep listening to the song and not skip to the next song. But considering that this is the second song you've written not a bad job at all. Your son is right btw... ;-)
