Started off playing bass and a bit of drums when I was about 14 (or about twenty five years ago...sigh!) I played bass in a band all through high school (as well as playing bass in the high school band)...got into guitar a bit later, acoustic first. Been using open tunings from early on. I've played in five bands, the last in '98. Most of my favoured musician friends have either moved or we just don't stay in touch anymore, so I do it all myself these days. I record all my music at home, in my own 4 track (analog!) studio. Since 2004 I've made nine (so far) albums, all self written and produced.
My current gear includes a Fender Telecaster (Jerry Douglas signature model, which I picked up used for $200), Cortez acoustic, Fender Jaguar bass, Digitech effects processor, Alesis drum machine (which I play manually) and a Tascam 4 track cassette recorder. I use Sony Sound Forge 10 for digital editing of my music.
