    You should check out Maple Leaf Music in Brattleboro VT. About two hours straight up I-91 from New Haven. They have a fine selection of high end acoustics from Taylor, Martin, Santa Cruz, Froggy Bottom, and some others I think.

    should I buy a power conditioner?

    Use ground lifts (3 prong to 2 prong adapters) on everything in your guitar chain that has three prong power cords except for your amp. Then there is only one path to ground. This should do the trick.

    I use a Dr Z Maz 18 Jr and a '67 blackface Deluxe Reverb with a ceramic Jensen C12N when I play out most of the time. If its and outdoor gig I'll use a '68 Super Reverb with the original alnico CTS speakers instead of the Deluxe. Its one of the early 68's that still have the blackface circuit...
