I'm going through a pretty bad block at the moment. About three months ago I was firing on all cylinders, but it just stopped one day and I haven't been able to get anything going. I get this a few times a year and I'm sure it will pass, but it's very frustrating.
This is a cool song and very catchy. I'm listening to this through some cheap speakers at work so I don't think I can comment on the mix itself, but the snare did seem a bit loud. Cool song though. :)
Oh absolutely. I give him credit for the success he's worked for and don't fault for him for that at all. My comment was merely a shot at Drew. I suppose I should be more careful when I’m the new guy on the block so I don’t have things taken out of context. :)
I suppose that's my issue at the moment. I'm really not able to convey exactly what it is that I'm trying to achieve with the sound of my guitar. That said, it has been improving, but I still haven't had that moment where everything just clicks for me, but I'll keep trying. :)

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm surprised I received positive feedback on my guitar tone. Maybe it's decent enough, but I'm just not getting the results I'm looking for. As for the drums, these are drum loops and I plan on recording real drums for this, unless I can get these eq'ed good...

I guess I would say my main motivation to record a "real album" is that I've been doing demo's and partial recordings for so long that I finally want gear up do something for real with the intent to make this as professional as possible within a DIY scope.
