I enjoy helping artists navigate the recording process. Sharing knowledge and experience is what it's all about. For me it isn't a money thing; it's art, expression and the groove. That said, I do charge a nominal hourly fee which makes Highway Recording easily within the reach of most artists.
Please understand that I don't take on all projects. I enjoy working in situations where I can be of value and where I personally enjoy the music.

I started recording in the 1970s using a TEAC 4-track reel-to-reel tape deck and a Shure microphone to record a track that ended up on Hawaii's first Home Grown album. As a singer/songwriter I realized that to get my music heard I had to put it into a medium that was easy for people to access; something I could hand out. Back then it was cassettes; now it's CDs and the Internet.
