Hi, I've been trying to ramp up my recording skills over the last couple of months while stuck at home. I'm maybe making a little bit of progress but popping in here to read some more tips/tricks.

I like it! I think the mix is pretty good, although there are spots where the hi-hats seem to stick out too much. The drums are pretty clearly artificial in general, not sure if there's something you could do to make them sound a bit more natural. But the guitars and synths are done very nicely.

Probably not knowing the questions to ask. I can listen to what I've recorded and tell you it doesn't sound "right", but I have a hard time articulating what the difference is between what I'm producing and a more professional sounding recording. My stuff generally sounds clean, but it just...
