Cubase offers version SE for $100, seriously that isnt expensive at all, and that version is still a powerful one to use. :rolleyes: And for the idiots who admit using illegal software isnt too bright I dont mind saying. Keep ALL illicit things you do on the super hush, hush, get it?

Pure skill can and will get you that clear and upfront sound everybody wants. :D For real you can have the most expensive studio in the whole world and it dont mean jack sh!t if you can use anything in it. And some people can get busy with only basic recording tools and make a track sound...

Assuming you are using SX. You should look into track bouncing or the audio mixdown feature.

That is pretty much a matter of taste. I never used sonar to say if its worse or not, but I presume they will both give you similar benefits in the end result. :D

I love Cubase. To me I can create a whole song from scratch. And I am somewhat fully with the end results of the stuff I make. There is no reason for me to branch out at this time. Also Cubase has powerful editing/mixing features. I recommend it fully.

I thought about that, but I wasnt sure if you could technically get away with it. My sound card only has 2 inputs anyway so I never actually never tried it. It seems extremely messy to do (a spaghetti of cables). In light of that page you linked I guess it can be done.

^^ Yes but you cant separate them if you were to dump them into another DAW, like Cubase or Sonar. The Tascam doesnt have direct outputs for each track.

Or just save up to $500 and get Cubase SX or Sonar, :D
