Hello everyone, when I try to hard pan two mono guitar tracks, reaper just lowers the volume on one side (even when panned 100%, you can still hear the track on the oposite side). The master track is in stereo, and I´ve tried all panning modes, without success. Has this happenned to any of you?

Hello my friends, I´ve posted about this same song some time ago, I´m on the finishing part of the track, just wanted some feedback as far as the mixing goes. All constructive criticism is welcome. I attached the intro, verse and pre-chorus

barely any difference...What is your goal on adding saturation? that´s what you gotta ask. I always add a lot of it, and then lower it until it´s noticeable but not completely audible.

Thanks for the reply Retrohazard, I´ll try your tips. It has eq but very subtle, no more than 2 db cuts or boosts, will see what happens with a bit more q and some more compression

Hey famous beagle, thanks for the reply. Not sure what else to do with the drums, they´re already pretty compressed, have a parallel comp going on...guess i´ll try adding some distortion to see if it helps.

I hear y´all, I´ve turned up the bass a bit (but not too much, it gets overpowering quite fast), eased up on the low end comp on the guitars, and added a touch of eq, in the 100 hz range on the master. Also, there´s a limiter on the master to see more or less how it will sound. Let me know if...

Hey TalismanRich, thanks for the reply, I´ll try adjusting the guitars to see if it helps. I´m mostly using Behringer HPX2000 headphones for monitoring, but I try to cross check with my Thonet & Bander speakers and my phone hehe

Hey spantini, thanks for the reply. I have a fairly aggresive multiband compression going on to tame the palm muting, I´ll ease it a bit to see if it sounds better.

I listened on my computer speakers, for what I can hear, the snare is kinda overpowering the mix, and it sounds very sampled, all the hits are the same. I may try to humanize it a bit, changing the velocities of the hits. Also, the guitars are a bit dark, but that is just my opinion.

Thanks for the reply! yeah, I still have to get used to that plugin, changing the velocity only felt like a change in volume. I´ll play around a bit more to learn how to humanize it better.
