Metal Tune using Line 6 Helix and Superior Drummer 3

It may have been a volume issue more so than a frequency issue. Either that or I hate hearing myself. We are all our hardest critics after all, especially when it comes to singing. I've been mixing for a long time, since I was a teenager which was 20 years ago and vocals have always been the...

Metal Tune using Line 6 Helix and Superior Drummer 3

Put together a metal song using the Line 6 Helix and the newly acquired Superior Drummer 3. Had a lot of fun doing this and messing around with a green screen. I feel like the mix came out decent as well and the stock kits in Superior 3 have a lot of variety for whatever kind of music you enjoy...

Closer To Hell - High Energy Hard Rock (Performance Video)

Thanks for the input. I see what your saying. Like keeping up certain parts longer but then bringing another shot into the same frame like PIP or something. I'm still finding my way around Final Cut and am learning how to deal with sync clips better. Next one I do I may just try something...

Closer To Hell - High Energy Hard Rock (Performance Video)

Sooooooo, your saying I should keep all my songs under 3 minutes then :D Next video I do I will look into doing something other than just performing. I'm still not totally used to doing videos and have quite a bit to learn. Sometimes it's tough to think to after putting a lot into the song...

Closer To Hell - High Energy Hard Rock (Performance Video)

I think I did a decent job on this video and mix sounds good to me.

Metal Tune using Bias FX and SSD (Video)

In an attempt to make my videos look a tad better I got some lighting and a backdrop. Well, I need a bigger backdrop to get better shots but I think I worked well with what I had. Let me know what you think.

Reborn - Metal Tuning using a Line 6 Helix (more camera angles this time)

Thanks. The vdrums definitely make it easier as far as having a polished sound and not being noisy while playing. As long as you have a low latency capable interface, tracking via MIDI is pretty decent. Of course though, not as good or as fun as recording a live kit. When I mic my acoustic kit...

Reborn - Metal Tuning using a Line 6 Helix (more camera angles this time)

Hahaha!!! It's funny but back in the day when I was young I would record holding the microphone. Although something like a SM58 doesn't really make a lot of noise from holding or moving it. Seriously though, no. After the recording is done I just sing and play along except for the drums and...

Reborn - Metal Tuning using a Line 6 Helix (more camera angles this time)

Alright. Last time I posted a video I pretty much had one camera. I have 2 now. Sometimes 3 at my disposal. I think I did a better job on this video than the last one I posted. The tune is a heavy metal tune minus the screaming.

Please Critique the Hard Rock Tune, "I Feel the Need (For Speed)"

Sounds like the vocals and drums are covering the guitars up and the bass too...

How I built a large following on SoundCloud

So this is this person's first post. Registered on January of this year so within the last couple days. And tries pointing people to followersgrow.com. So I take it you are the person that runs that site and are trying to make a quick buck over at followersgrow.com. Dude, follows, likes, blah...

"The Gravity of Us" - does my voice work or should I get someone else to sing?

When I started recording and mixing more I picked up the Mixing Engineer's Handbook... Later also picked up the Recording Engineer's Handbook when I started tracking live amps and drums. Both good reads and have a lot of information and some really good stories in there. There is a lot of...

New Metal Song - The System

Lyrics are definitely tough work. You have to get something that catches, sounds good, and isn't cheasy... All at the same time trying to tell a story or something. Ideally you want to have a chorus that people will remember which Disturbed was very good at. The guitars to me don't sound heavy...

Music to Murder - In My Final Days

Sounds alright to me. The tempo change at 2:27 seems a bit awkward maybe. Like it is forced just for the sake of a tempo change. The one at 1:45 at so does seem so forced for some reason, maybe due to the drum fill.
