I did assume you meant songwriting and not arranging/composing just music or recording.

A lot of times a melody just pops into my mind. I'll hear the different instruments. I'll hear where syllables of words in the vocals would bounce around in there, where words would be stretched, but they aren't always full sentences, maybe a word here and there. Its like the words are...

I appreciate that feedback man. I was always more into writing but singing could be more fun if I could figure out how to do it right. I think part of the issue is confidence like you say. I never really have felt "free" singing... Felt more like working to try to sound enjoyable to others...

Okay, so the guitars were: 1) Fender Buck Owens acoustic (3rd version) 2) Sigma JM-SG45+ (a/e) 3) Martin DX1AE (a/e)

Good point. There are 2 acoustic guitars (not here) that Im pretty sure are recording go to's, but they're also based on what my ear likes, so if I do a similar test on those to get input from others I'll def have your advice in mind. These 3 guitars are primarily for just acoustic playing...
