    Jamfest raffle guitar. BE THERE!

I'm gonna handle the raffle for the guitar seperately. I'm still thinking 20 bucks.

    Jamfest raffle guitar. BE THERE!

I'm not sure how I feel about non-festers being able to buy tickets....it would be pretty lame (in my opinion) to sell a bunch of tickets at the fest, only to take the guitar back home with me to send to someone who bought a ticket online. Maybe I should do another guitar for an online raffle...

    Jamfest raffle guitar. BE THERE!

I have no idea how many tickets I'll sell. If you buy some tickets right before I call the winner, I could estimate the odds. :D

    Jamfest raffle guitar. BE THERE!

I'm about 90% complete with the guitar that I'm building to raffle off at this year's Jamfest in Kentucky. (It also serves as the first prototype of my "SS" body shape and 6 inline headstock, so that's what I'm getting out of it) It has an alder body, 5 piece maple & walnut set neck, ziricote...

FS: Korg PadKontrol & Alphatrack DAW controller

PadKontrol midi controller - $75 Alphatrack DAW control with motorized fader and a bunch of programmable controls - $100 No more than I record these days, these things will sit on the shelf forever, might as well get them out of the way. Both are hardly used and have the original packaging.

    Strat necks...Charvel Necks

You can't just move the neck down, the neck has to be positioned to work with the scale length. A 24 fret neck with a 25.5" scale has to have the pocket closer to the bridge than a standard Strat.

Does anyone have an EVH Wolfgang?

I've played a couple of them, and I was quite impressed. If I hadn't sworn off buying new guitars, it's one of the few that I'd be desperate to have.

    Strat necks...Charvel Necks

A 22 fretter overhangs the heel a bit, a 24 fretter would overhang the heel more than an inch, which doesn't look to be the case on that neck, so even if it fits the pocket it will blow your scale length. I'm not trying to rain on your parade. :o

    Strat necks...Charvel Necks

The model series Charvels were definitely 2 1/4" heels. I've had several. But it doesn't sound like you went that way. Concerning the neck you pictured, I'm curious as to how a 24 fret neck can be said to fit a Strat.

    Strat necks...Charvel Necks

I believe most Charvels except for the really old ones are 2 1/4" heel vs. a Fender 2 3/16".

    boss metal-zone mt-2 pedal seek a soulmate

There is absolutely no reason why you can't or shouldn't use a pedal like that in front of pretty much any amp you want. Especially a Marshall Valvestate. You might want to use just a little bit of the distortion through a dirty channel, or you may want to use a totally clean channel on the amp...

Les paul" AND" strat "OR" Prs custom 24 ? ?

I'd much rather have the LP and the Strat, provided they're in good shape and are good players.

    EVH replica

It was that way once upon a time, but apparently the bridge got relocated at some point in the early 80's (with a neck swap I quess?) and now the quarter is non-functional, but still sits there for some reason. Thanks.

Shredders vs. "feel players" - an observation

Oh yeah - and it's not just the carpel tunnel.
