Martins too boomy for recording ? Are you kidding ? I would guess that a large part of recorded acoustics ARE Martins. Even my D-35 which emphasizes bass, the 'oversholder-method' gives me what I want to sound it like (using AKG C3000 B)

While trying to mixdown bluegrass stuff..... Any hints of setting the equalizers 'right' ? For banjo I found some settings which I like but for all the other instruments, I dont get the sound I have in mind. Never knew that a dobro had so many bassy tones ....

Anyone into it ? As a complete newbie I have some questions thx
