To give you a reference, on my studio laptop with a dual core 2 GHz with 8 Mb RAM, under Gnu/Linux Debian 12 my latency on jack sound server is 10 ms without any Xrun (drop out in Windows world). My DAW is Ardour. The same hardware is unexploitable for music production under Windows.
Sure for this track, but advices would be used for the next. I released another one called "Lost In My Mind" where I changed some technics in drums recording: more low kick and drumkit panning more realistic in live session sounding target.
What I would do if it was my recording :
- One mic like described
- One track to a DI
The next step is to mix the two tracks to get the sound you want.
I see the sound you are looking for because I got it just by puting an TS9 like overdrive with gain to 0 and that push warmly the mids.
You can have more precise mids using a booster even an overdrive.
I worked on anorher version for Vimeo and my secondary YT channel (where I post finalized projects) so you can hear the impact of mixing and mastering on the final music.
IMHO a had too much mids and a too dirty reverb.
Thank you for your listening, there are no mistake, guitar just plays another chord than the bass.
Here another mix more in my preferences. The target was 80's sound.
