Yes ... Correct again. When recording to a track you do pan that track to its left or right position to receive the incoming signal. I'm not sure how that will work when recording the stereo mix from different tracks though. You may have to experiment. Thats why it's better to mixdown to a...

Papoola, What you have described is correct. I'm a little unsure of what you mean at step 5. Tracks 1 & 2 will be your final stereo mix. And you should leave the panning controls centered to keep the stereo "image" you have created. It might be better to do your mixdown to one of the stereo...
