    How would you do it?

The actual setup to capture them all is a lot more important. Don´t know how large are the choirs, but the basic should be two or more mics in front of the choir, then the piano, then other stuff. It should sound as good as possible from the stereo pair, and then just adjust mics for what is missing.

    Very strange problem indeed...

Try changing the windows setting, which sets the priority for applications or background tasks. (in system properties)

    "virtual breadboard" audio plugin

Finally So I accidentaly stepped onto this thread http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/showthread.php?t=24783 and as you can see, it describes the way you need to connect multisim with matlab, to be able to use any circuit and simulate its effects on sound :) cheers

Sound becomes muffled after several seconds of recording

Preamp usually is separate device, and not controlled by programs. What soundcard/interface do you use?

    "virtual breadboard" audio plugin

Never heard of such thing but it would be cool. But I guess it may be possible with something like Pspice, from which you would export some transfer function and import it to some VST plugin.

    Recommendations on DIP sockets?

From what I heard these http://www.gme.cz/_dokumentace/dokumenty/824/824-001/pct.824-001.1.jpg should be better than these http://www.gme.cz/_dokumentace/dokumenty/823/823-010/pct.823-010.1.jpg

Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 or Windows XP Pro SP3

I always thought that ASIO drivers are not processed or mixed, and go "straight" to the soundcard. Does anyone know any text about this?

Why must my mono songs become converted to "stereo" on cd

Man you suck. Not only it is not mono anymore, but it also lost the great feeling and whatnot you had in the first album. Get lost, please

No Woman No Cry - Greg Marley goofiness

The amount of bass guitar is ok, but I would back off a bit the low end of it. (I moved the 60 and 170hz fader in winamp -1.7db it says, and it sounds better, just for a starting point) Another thing I noticed is two clicks at 0:01 and 0:03, probably some tracks starting. You should use a short...

    I came across this

No, because you never know when is it going to clip, so with 24bit converters you can safely use many dBs lower level without running into problems with noise.

Wow, that´s awesome! Maybe a bit too bass heavy, but good.

    mixing in a vacuum?

Treating a room doesn´t mean making it a totally dead space. You just try to make the bass response nice and get rid of some first reflections.

    18V AC Regulator

I think this is slipping to another flamewar about polarity vs phase. Let´s get back to behringer.
