Well here I am, up at 2:00 finishing a mix and what do i happen to be stuck on? The vocals. I can't seem to get beyond this very harsh sounding recording...it's a female's voice and she sounds great...any remedy for such a thing?

I'm looking for a digital audio interface and I've narrowed it down to the MOTU 828 and the Presonus Firestation. I've heard good things about the MOTU and I'm really diggin the features of the Firestation, BUT I read a review on a site by a guy who basically wished the Firestation hadn't come...

I am looking into the M-Audio Omni I/O and Quattro as a new audio interface...has the signal from the "outs" of the quattro passed through the computer and out again or is it pre-computer sound? Does USB work the same way a PC 15-pin connection cable work?
