    Roland VS880 Digital Work Station

So just use the SCSI to transfer data to your zip drive for storage purposes and all audio will have to go to your mac for editing and then to a cd or dat.

    Roland VS880 Digital Work Station

A zip drive only records data so your question is immaterial, but when you want to transfer digital audio to your mac you should make sure that the sample rates are the same on your 880 as the software you are using, ie; 44.1 kHz or 48.0 kHz. I usually record and transfer at 48.0 kHz for better...

    2480/1680 songs

Are there any problems transferring songs between a 2480 and 1680? I have a 1680 and the 2480 is 200+ miles away with my friend who would like me to do some guitar tracks on his song. I used a Soundblaster Live card which has analog and digital ins, with Cakewalk XP Gold and Sound Forge XP, which I used for recording a stereo dump from my VS machines for burning CDs. I see no problem doing this from the BR 8, which I believe has the same type of master outs. I will however...

The project I am working on consists of a bunch of midi files this guy put together, but we are trying to replace the drum tracks with the Roland VDrums which are in essence, a...

    Midi routing

I have cakewalk PA9, slaved to a 1680, which works great, my pc has two 'ins' and 'outs' but when I try to introduce a midi signal from the VDrums on the other 'in', PA9 freezes up! Do I have to merge the two midi 'ins'? or do I need a midi patchbay or interface? I'm not usually this dumb, but...
