Customer appreciation coupon (with some exclusions)

Yup...it IS a CYA thing. I was in retail for 35 years. Many manufacturers prohibit ADVERTISING discounts on their merch. Some even prohibit advertising PRICES. Have you ever seen a price advertised for a Rickenbacker? But...there is a big difference between ADVERTISING and actually GRANTING...

    battery/inverter to power p.a.

In the RV world, we use 6v golf cart batteries in series to get longer battery life when away from power. Even bigger rigs use combinations or 4 or even 8 of them wired in series-parallel to still end up with 12 volts. They are very heavy, but 2 6v golf cart batteries will give you...

Harbinger APS12 hangs in there after hitting the asphalt!!

I know Harbinger products are often maligned as bottom of the line junk. I've had a pair of APS12s that we have gigged with weekly for over 2 years and have been exceptionally pleased with. I load in and haul out with a small equipment cart and, yesterday, the cart got caught in a crack in the...

LED KEY for the Behringer 6-In-1 CT100 Cable Tester

Arcaxis is right. It IS pretty intuitive once you have it in your hand to play with; however, I'm a bit slow and really had to think it thru then draw a diagram to keep with the tester.....especially since I don't have frequent need to test cables. I have only tested XLR, TRS and TS cables...

    samson vs. behringer

I've owned several Behringer products and every one has performed exactly as is should. No complaints whatsoever. I'm not a big fan of Behringer documentation, however. IMHO Behringer products enable many musicians with limited budgets to own equipment that would otherwise be out of their reach.

    microphone humming noise?

It really sounds like a bad ground. Have you checked/swapped cables?

Fixing gain controls on phonic mixer. Do I use contact spray?

I agree, contact cleaner will most likely NOT fix the problem.....but if you are going to try it, Deoxit is the absolute best there is!!!

    What monitor should i buy!!

IMHO, any multi-musician band needs some type of monitor. Problem is, in small venues like you describe, monitors loud enough to do you any good are also loud enough to be heard by the audience and either overwhelm your FOH mix OR at least screw it up. Our 3 piece group constantly fought these...

    Doubler for vocal

I've been using a TC Helicon Harmony-G for several years and ABSOLUTELY love it. It's now been replaced in the product line by the Harmony-GXT. How natural it sounds is mostly a function of the user's selection of effects and how you place them in your material. We do some songs where I turn...

    In ear monitor phone

I think the "flat" ones you see the big name guys use are typically custom molded to fit their ears. If you're looking for nice quality, off the shelf in-ears, however, I can personally recommend Shure SE215. Of course, as Mike said, in-ears are typically wireless, therefore, EXPENSIVE. The...

Know Anything About Sonetic or Pyramid Power Amps?

I've had experience with 2 Pyramid amps. Absolute pure crap. Specs mean ABSOLUTELY nothing.....IMHO

Advice on a below $200 powered speaker...

Consider taking your music source to a Guitar Center and audition a Harbinger APS12. It has 2 mic/line unbalanced inputs and 1 line balanced input, each with separate volume controls plus a 5 band graphic equalizer. They weigh a bit more than your 25 lb but are very manageable. If you don't...

    Behringer MINIAMP AMP800

We ARE unusual :) Yes, all 3 of us use wired in-ear monitors. We play small venues.....50 to 100 people and we all sit on stools.....no need to move and the in-ear wires are no more inconvenient than guitar and mic cables. In most of our venues, stage monitors loud enough to do us much good...

    Behringer MINIAMP AMP800

I have not used that particular unit but I have used both the HA400 and the HA4600. Both performed well.....although the HA400 was easily overdriven and therefore distorted easily, but what do you want for $20. Our band currently uses the HA4600 for in-ear monitors for live shows. It's a...

    DP-008 No volume on playback

I had the exact same issue with mine when I first got it. I found the headphone jack to have a strange feel. I thought the plug was fully plugged in but it wasn't. Just be sure it REALLY IS fully seated and I think you'll be fine. The DP-008 is a super little machine. I'm exceptionally...
