I use stuff called "Gorilla Snot" thats specifically made for allowing fingers to slide more quietly along the strings. I use it on all my acoustic tracks.

We have quite a few at work that we use in conference rooms on a regular basis. I have pretty good idea of their abilities and limitations. Since there's no windows in the control room at all I won't have to worry about natural light and the track lighting I plan on using can easily be aimed...

I personally would start with whichever guitar is the main melody at center and run the other two guitars one left one right about 50% and see how the spread sounded. Just my two cents worth. A rule of thumb is that you want the attention track (vocals, melody,solo) centered to sit on top...

The big advantage of the 2400 is you don't HAVE to switch banks. Instant control over 24 channels is a god send when automating mixes. For that many individual channels on the 1884 you would spend well over twice the price..actually around 3K I think for initial 1884 and two expansion units...

I just picked up a new Tascam 2400 on ebay but was wondering if anybody knows if two of these puppies can be used on the same system for 48 channels of control. Alot of my recordings are upwards of 30+ tracks once I mix in strings and ambient percussion. (I got a thing lush sounds)...

I ran into the same prob myself. No quick fix....gotta dump your old envelopes to get the controller to automate it. Kinda sucks.
