Yeah, they are not 180 out of phase and i've tried to slide region to line up but they are not consistant. So it gets confusing how much to move it. And even when i get tracks to line up roughly i still have a talking into a bucket sound.

I like to use a dynamic mic run through a distorted/reverb effect real close to my mouth, right against it. I then put up a large diaphram condenser about 8-12" away and record them to two separate tracks in pro tools. I then blend as disired later. My issue is i get some phaseing problems and...

My advice would be to save a little more and get an sm81. They are $349 i believe. From what i can hear and have heard from others is that the cheaper condensers are brittle and sizzley. And then you'll have a great mic that'll give you good results for years.

Do not get the krk's unless you like a speaker that sounds like it has a "bass boost" button activated like on boom boxes. I bought them, took them home and within 30 seconds i new i made a huge mistake. Could'nt return them fast enough. Very boomy and effected. I bought the yamaha hs80m's and...

I also have the radial xamp. I use the xamp with good results with a signal far below 0db sometimes. And i never adjust the level on the xamp more than 2 o'clock. Maybe u have a bad xamp. That would suck. Sorry i can't help you more.

I don't belive they even had 24 track machines when let it be came out. The 8 tracks were in use, possibly slaving 2 machines for 16.

If you wanted to record in stereo you will use 2 mics with the capsules at 90-110 degrees of each other. I believe it's called the x/y or coincedent technique. Or you can put as many mics as you want and decide which signal you wanna use later, each pointed at a different spot on the speaker. Or...
