Wow that's amazing actually. I've just never been able to really get a good sound out of it; I guess because I'm so new to this. Is it possible to get similar results by just plugging it straight into the tascam?
So do you think i should run it through the preamp until i get a better mic? Thanks for the reply by the way.

Okay, so i recently bought a Tascam DP-32, and my friend gave me a cheap ART Tube MP personal processor series preamp. Should i use the built in pre with my tascam, or should i use the external preamp? I'm using an MXL 990 condenser mic. Thanks:):guitar:
I'm pretty new to this recording thing, but I bought a Tascam DP-32. It has a built-in preamp, but a friend of mine gave me a cheap ART TubeMP Personal Processor Series preamp. I'm just unsure of what would be the best way to get the best sound. I'm recording vocals with an MXL 990 condenser.
