Because I've heard that Tascam's customer support ain't so hot, I'm including an edited copy of what I sent to their customer support on here:
I am an owner of the Tascam...
Hello everybodies!
So you know that Kickport thing-a-ma-bob? Well I thought about shoving one of these bad boys in the reso instead.
Whadda you guys think? It looks cheaper and I'm willing to give it a shot.
Thanks!

I thought it would be fun to pick up bass guitar on the side, so I'm in the market for purchasing one.
Only 1 think stopping me: I have no clue what to look at. The only thing I know to avoid is a bass that says "Junior" on it.
And I'm on the cheap, so I found a few basses on GC used.
One of...
We are doing it all wrong.
To heck with our ears, we can master tracks in 15 minutes! Just slap a multi-band compressor, more compression, cut everything under 30 hz, etc, and voila! A quick "mastered" track!
Absolutely brilliant. I'll never spend a single dime on a trained...
So as of yet I've still not made any bass traps because I've been err... Preoccupied. (a.k.a. lazy) :eatpopcorn:
Now it's time for me to get back in line :spank: with my objective right now: Build bass traps.
But I got this idea before I went to bed last night, what if I made a hybrid acoustic...
So lately I have been looking around for a new kit which I will be buying this summer.
I've been thinking about either getting a maple kit or a birch kit, and my main purpose for them is going to be for mostly recording and maybe some potential gigging.
I have my eye on the PDP X7 6 piece maple...

Thanks Chris!:)
What are a few favorite pieces of budget gear that you use in your studio if any, but if not what budget gear do you find acceptable to use if you wanted to produce a song with only that gear?
(for fun)
What's your favorite food or snack in the studio if any? And does it help with any aspect of...
If you were forced to downsize your studio, and you could only keep 8 pieces of equipment, what would you keep?
Thanks Chris, I'm honored that you are willing to take the time to answer this!
And what is the most unusual and peculiar instrument or piece of gear you used to achieve a particular sound that you added into a mix, and how did it turn out?
Thanks Chris, I'm honored that you are willing to take the time to answer my question. :)
Well, I had a chance to rush and set up my mics and record some scratchier than scratch tracks.
BUT, this summer I'm getting a new (and better) kit, along with new mics. And bass traps. Along with some better skills.
So just let me know, and laugh as much as you want (I think this stinks so bad...
I have 2 Nady SP-1's up for grab.
I'm not really sure you can call them mics, but they are great for a number of other things such as:
An alternative to a hammer
Use the diaphragm and windscreen ball to make a cool little flashlight or lamp with some LED's
Use as a club to fend people off...
