I know that power amps can be used to power passive monitors or speaker cabinets for your guitar, but what else are they used for? Every rack picture I see over at the Harmony Central group has power amps. Am I missing something? Thanks for not flaming me?

Well, I managed to chip the paint on the front of my Ibanez with the edge of a chair. The wood is not damaged, the chip is about as big as a dime. Any suggestions on repair (besides slapping a sticker over it)? <weeping> Thanks
