The people at the Audacity help forum either have no clue or they don't care. The AUP files have changed to .mo files and I need to recover the missing AUP files. If anybody knows what to do in this situation please let me know. You can see the problem in the attachment.
Now that I've found E mu sound cards will work on Win 7 I must base my new PC purchases around that card, which is PCI not PCIe.
What's A good Mobo (if any) that carries a couple PCI slots?
Thanks....I appreciate your help
This is A problem with older soundcards when the maker (in this case Creative) no longer supports the outdated product. The drivers that came with the card are for XP. If someone could tell me how to get this to work on Win 7 I'd really appreciate it !
I've Been recording on a old pc with Audacity, windows XP,E MU 1212 soundcard with good
results. But at 16 bit.I tried Reaper at 24 bit but got alot of noise (pops and clicks).
I have A new hard drive with windows 7 on hold because I'm not sure what my next purchase
should be.RME soundcard...
So I FINALLY make the change from XP to 7 in an effort to make 24 bit Recordings and
even though its only been 4 hours I'd have to say I"M SCREWED".
I love this E MU soundcard, but its crazy how technoligy can screw with you.If XP had
WASAPI I'd be rolling in 24 bit recordings. But WASAPI...
I want to replace capacitors in some '70s speakers that read 12MFD 50 wv non-polar.
It's the 50 wv (volts) that I'm having trouble finding on line. Lowest I can find 100v.
Also A white ceramic rectangular that reads: C w 5 10 (some kind of mark) K 3-A.
Help me if you can, please. So I can...

I'm still getting pops and clicks in the background of my Recordings using Reaper with Windows XP.
I've gradually increased Buffer size to 2500. Can the noise be removed from my last Recording or are
they permanent?
recently I found out from Audacity forum that I've been recording at 16 bit not 24

I wanted to check here for your thoughts or if anyone has found A way around this.
The Audacity group say I have to change OS.Your...
Just found out that I've been recording at 16 bit not 24.So that means it's time to
dump audacity and move on to something else. I have the E MU 1212 sound card using windows
XP.In order to record at 24 bit with audacity you must select WASAPI,which XP does not support.
So I'm stuck trying to...
I was cranking the Volumes on my stereo what my computer in
the back room was recording. When I played back it just didn't
seem to have that sound as before when it sounded like the
Band was right there in my Living Room.Playback did sound
pretty good but I couldn't crank it to the "Live"...
I've been using Audacity for A few years now to record streaming audio on my PC.
All music is FROM cd's(no mp3) E MU souncard is set at 24/48khz.(maybe it's 32 bit
float) anyway, the quality is good, but I am curious of how you would record this
type of media?
