Years ago, someone gave me an Altec 633a microphone. Today, I dug it out of the garage, tested it - no signal. Its going in the trash unless someone wants to come pick it up this week! It is in decent shape, with some nicks in the paint. I'm in Redondo Beach, CA. Have a nice day! :D

Ive gotten my hands on an RCA 77 by renting, and was very pleased with it. very smooth. we were using it ~6" for lead female vocals. I would guess royer mics would be very good too. Ive met a couple of those guys and they are pretty dedicated to what they do. -Patrick
