ok...
well, so she can use say.....1/4" to 1/8 to run the board to her comp?
and what kind of soundcard would be good?
she has some MAC that she got like a year ago.....
my friend just got a Behringer mixing board, and is trying to hook it up to her computer. She cant just hook it straight in, right? she needs some sorta outboard gear and a badass soundcard, right?
yeah, I truely agree with you there.
I have a Mesa Mark IV and it has a Recording Out, and it supposedly simulates a mic'ed cab, but I think it sounds very weak.
Mic that cab, that's the only way.
hey all. My band is doing a demo sometime in about a week.
It is not going to be anything crazy, and we are doing it live, since we dont have a bunch of time to sit down and do track by track.
anyhow, supposedly the guy who is recording us knows his stuff, but I havent even talked to him yet...
wow.
I also remember the amp making a "popping" sound every once in a while, that would come thru the speakers....dunno if this is any more valuable info...
I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a digital 8 track recorder.
can anyone here recommend anything? I don't want to spend too much money on one, since I only need it for recording some ideas and probably make a demo of my band.
I found a Fostex DMT-8 on Ebay. Looks half decent.
any advice on...
ahh.
....I'm debating wether to call Mesa and get an estimate and maybe send it to them....or just find a tech around here that could go over it.....
I know it would be a very wise choice to send it to Mesa, but it will take a while I am sure.
hmmm...unless I accidentally put the tubes in their correct spots, (yes, you read that right)...but it definitely sounded killer for a while.....
I'm thinking about just sending it out to Mesa and have them make it like new again....but that would cost me a nice chunk of dough.....
I have a Mark IV. It is supposedly THE most verstile amp.
Trust me, they are worth the money....
mine is out of commission right now, tho.....needs some fixing up.
I've checked out the Marhsall tube amps (on the rear panel), and there isn't much option back there.
On the Mark IV, you can...
I have a Mesa Mark IV, and when I got it (used), I was unaware of the matching of the tubes, and ran 6L6's in it for a while. after a bit, one of the tubes started cutting out/making noise, so I swapped it with an EL34.
soooo....my dumb ass ran 3 6L6's that weren't exactly set up right, and 1...
thanks. that was helpfull.
I have messed with my settings a lot. I hear what you are saying about how the BBE is a band aid, and when its turned off, the sound sounds duller than it is. I just prefer the bite of the processed tone. Unprocessed gives me more raunch and more of a mid-gain...
