i don;t know man you build a pedal board and you never worry about any of that shit, just plug in and go. plus the parameters on separate boxes allow a whole lot more manipulation than those shit all in one fancy nancy crap boxes that being said, eff pedals. make the effects with your hands...

ya in theory, measuring it by scale length then adjusting all the other strings according to guage is correct. but in reality, those strings are always gonna be a different size guage, its impossible for them to be dead on... same with the scale length of the guitar, do you think every neck...

ya, I've used digital for quite the while I got fed up with it I've built my way up using cassette decks, tricks to make multitracking and overdubbs and stuff, tape phase and the sort even resorted to syncing up two tapes at once (bass and drums) while a third deck recorded the whole thing...
