A original I have been working on .

I hear some AIC influences in there......song as a whole is really cool. I agree though, needs a re-mix. Vocals need to be brought up some. Cool to have them sitting back a little in the mix but they are too far back. Cool guitar sound but in my opinion a little too thin or maybe a tad too much...

Feedback on mix/recording - Ideas for an EP.

Yes vocals are a little boomy and cluttering up with the guitars somewhat. Guitar is nice and forward which I think sounds pretty good, but as said already the percussion is getting lost and could come forward more. They are also only on the left which may be intentional, but I would personally...

    2020 Hindsight BJZ

I find that the drums sound a little too aggressive for what I am hearing in the rest of the song. I think they sound ok for the chorus parts but for the verses and such they sound a little much. Along those same lines, I find that the vocals sound a little buried which may have something to do...

Very well done mix. No real crits. Good job

    Feedback for modern metal track

The vocals are not my style but they do seem to sit in the mix well enough. The rest of the music sounds pretty damn good.

How do I get my song to sound more “real”?

+1 get those guitars panned hard left and right. Let bass sit in middle...EQ to taste

1 minute instrumental metal - feeback pls

Drums are really close to "Justice for all" especially that snare. Guitars sound good too. The kick is causing some compressor pumping which is a little distracting. may want to dial it down/decrease ratio

    pretty heavy

Really dig the intro guitar. Wish it lasted longer. The rest of the guitars sound good too. Drums nice and clear. Good job

Distorted rhythm guitar not sounding right

Mic placement is crucial when recording this way. Experiment with different locations...closer to center = crisp and treble, towards edge=darker. Once you get a decent tone, you can the fine tune with some EQ. Also, use about 1/2 the gain you probably think sounds good to your ears.

    Rise Up - Original

Kick could probably be adjusted a little more for sure..just didn't want a clickity kick but maybe a volume cut would help a little. As far as the guitar tone, its a combo of 2 patches each left and right. One is more dark like the intro guitar and one is brighter. So 4 tracks total. All played...

    Rise Up - Original

Hey Jimi! Thanks for taking the time to listen. Yes there is bass and I blended it well, almost too well I guess. Didn't want a super distinctive Bass, more just low end. Have to do a remix this week so I will check and see if I can bring it out more. Thanks for the kind words!

    Rise Up - Original

Thanks for the listen! Agreed on adjusting EQ on kick. It may be a little hot yet, going back this week and try to remix.

    Partners

The vocals and some of the tune itself reminds me of old old Pink Floyd...Like "See Emily Play". I do think the vocals start too far forward like other have said. Needs to blend a little better. I also think you may be using a little too much verb on everything...or maybe just the wrong verb...
