    Mic Shootout... not very scientific...

Ok so i've got the day off to paint the house but it's raining so, thought i'd have a play with mics instead... The image is from the reverse as the light was in my way. I recorded all 4 at once and pasted them to one track, see which one you think came out best and I'll post the right answer...

    PT Control

Anyone else running the new PT remote? I'm loving it :) I no longer have to run RDP and a second PC when I'm out in the shed, just take the iPad and I've got everything I need, seems to me to be a lot more responsive than my presonus SL control which can be really huffy. It wont let you adjust...

    Which Hi Hats?

I've abandoned my attempts to use the Octapad as a source of drum sounds and bought a cheap kit - I can hold a beat so I can learn and it'll be fun!! I bought a Mapex M 5 piece kit but has no cymbals, I know it's personal choice but I have to start somewhere so any advice appreciated. Looking...

OCTAOPAD as a sound module PT9 HELP!

Hi, I recently bought a Roland Octapad SPD 30 and V Drums (snare, hi hat and kick) (triggering the Octapad) all of which works and sounds fine. The intention was to use this as a drum input to pro tools 9 which again seems to work but I'm struggling to use the Octapad as a sound module I.e. I...
