I want to amplify my guitar (Big Baby, Taylor) unfortunately there is no internal preamp or whatever it is inside a guitar that allows you to plug into an amp. What is the best way to go about doing this? Micing it? any help would be appreciated.

I'm somewhat new to recording, in fact i am totally born and I would like to get into it. Problem is I don't know how. I need to know what equipment I need (besides instruments). If anyone has any ideas (I know you're out there) or can direct me to a good information site, I would appreciate it...
