I know this thread is way old, but I have Plush 1060s bass amp that I am doing little tinkering with and thought you might be able to share some of your experiences. Did you ever get yours retubed and put new speakers in? How did that work for you?
Mine sounds awesome! It is so loud and...
I use the 5 piece package with a pair of CM88 condensers that I purchased separately. I have used these for recording and sound reinforcement for live shows and have had no problems. They are definitely on the cheaper side and I have had to glue some of the mounts on mine as they cracked, but...
Well, you don't have to. You could always get a little 4 track unit. That would serve as your recording device and mixer. You would still need all of the other stuff though, mics, cables, etc. And you would still need a PC or CD burner to make CDs. Again, it depends on what you want to do...
The equipment you need depends on your situation. Are you looking to record live shows, or one track at a time to a PC in a home studio?
Most likely, it will be the later to start. For that, you will need a fairly decent PC with a 2GHz or better processor and 1GB or more of RAM. And plenty...
I use this for my studio:

Actually, mine is one model before. It has worked great for me. It has 4 channels with 3 outputs each, a direct in for each channel, and bass/treble for each channel. The...
I am thinking about getting a feedback eliminator for my live rig, more specifically the Behringer FBQ2496. Has anyone ever used one before, this or any other model? I do have a modest budget and any tips or recommendations are welcome.
Are you recording on all 16 channels of you mixer at once? If not, I would use the track outs. If you need all 16 channels, then I would submix the drums to a pair of buses and probably direct everything else.
Mine is set up as mostly mobile. I use 2 Yamaha MD8s and bounce to my PC for editing/mixing. My PC has a SoundBlaster Audigy Platinum and a Terratec MT88.
For mics, I use Nady drum mics, a pair of Carvin M68s, an EVN/D267a, and AKG D880, and a Samson C01 through an ART Tube Preamp. All mics...

I have 2 of the MD8s and let me say that as far as recording goes, they are pretty nice for an all in one unit. I was having the same issue with bouncing tracks the PC and have tried several options.
The first being a Terratec 8 in/8 out card and interface. Pretty nice unit and...
According to the MD8 manual, you should have no trouble mixing or editing your MD4 recordings on an MD8. The MD8 supports both 4 and 8 track recording.
However, if you want to add additional tracks, you will need to re-record your MD4 data to a disc set up to record 8 tracks. Once you start...
I play keyboards in a band and on some of the songs, we want to use wavs and other clips to add to our sound. Unfortunatley, my keybaords don't do samples and I don't have a sampler. I do have a laptop with Cakewalk, which is great for when we get to recording, but won't allow me to play them...
