That's sweet makes me want to go home and play! The mix is really clean sounding not like the messy stuff I do that's for sure! :D The guitars sound great!

Great, I'm now dummer for having clicked on this thread!!! Which is a bad thing as I'm not very smart to begin with........

    First attempt.

Yea I've been working on that also :D I've learned a lot of what doesn't work from trying to mix my own pathetic drum tracks. It's really been eye opening as to how much practice I need! LOL! I've said a few times I bet engineers who've recorded me in the past have probably used up more then a...

Thanks!! I'll have to work on bringing the drums more forward. I think maybe cause I played drums on the track that perhapes I can pick them out better and think they are too loud or something, as a few people have told me they are too quite. Another problem with them is I'm a bit inconsistent...

Really, you think there is room for more?? I'm not sure I could really play anymore but I could try!!! :D Well thanks! I am, I'm just now starting to think I understand how a compressor works and I'm not completly sure I grasp it. The studio isn't completly foreign to me, I've had some...

Your not kdding about running out of inputs fast! After this last experiment I'm thinking I need to cut back to a 4 piece kit!!

    Audio card for home use.

No it's really just for home use so I can mix/edit at home. We have a small studio that myself and a few other bands share with 32 channels of motu, so all of my tracking is done their. It's just hard to work around everyone's schedule and have been thinking if I could atleast do a little work...

Tim thanks, I completly forgot about the Echo products! I used a layla years ago that I borrowed from a friend. I remember it sounding pretty good back then but never got much into recording at the time as the band I was in feel apart.....

Well this probably isn't everyone's favorite genre but thought I would post it, and maybe get some feedback, good or bad, all is welcome! LOL! Hopefully not all bad, as I'm pretty new at recording and I'm a drummer on top of that, so I think that pretty much says it all...

Thinking about upgrading the CPU, which one should I get?

Are you sure it's CPU and not disk I/O? I'm running an AMD X2 5200+ with 2gb ram and a WD raptor 150 drive. Working on a project in cubase now with 30 tracks 96k with mad amounts of plugins and am only at about half cpu.

    Audio card for home use.

I'm looking for a decently priced say $250 or less 2 channel card that will do 96k and works well with cubase. This would be for my home computer so I can bring material home with me and work. Any one have any suggestions based on something they've used? Thanks!
