8track

Hi All,
I ran a little back-room recording studio in the 80s. By the early 90s I had gone from 8 track to a midi recording suite approach - C-labs on an Atari with Unitor/SMPTE time locking to my analogue kit; a hand full of the early digital effects processors and sampling keyboards. It was all great fun.

Then we were blessed with our children and the music has been on the back burner ever since.

I have tried over the past 4-5 years to get back into it using my PC, Cubase and then Ableton Live, but only now my chief financial officer (those who are married know what I'm talking about) gave me the go ahead to get a Mac with muscle enough to do a proper job: A Mac Mini, i7, 2.6G Processor, 16G RAM and a 1TB Fusion drive.

I've installed and started using Logic Pro 9 (in 64-bit mode) in the last few days and I am finding it a very intuitive tool.
