Analog is cool. However, I plan on sticking to cassette recording, as the reel to reel machines can be expensive, costly to refurbish, and the tape is expensive and is getting harder and harder to come by from what I've read. If you have a 4 track in good shape, you will get alot of use out of it with great results and not alot of time and investment. Just remember to keep the heads clean, use good tape, and watch your levels...I like to push them over 0 db.
