The band brought a pair of Roland DS-50A monitors to use with mixddown along with a BR-1600. The BR-1600 has a speaker modeling option if using DS-50A. There 12 types of speakers modeled to listen during playback. Just having the DS-50As made a huge different in my mixes.

The BR-8 file convert software VER-1.0 is available at Roland's site. Go to 'Support' and select 'Software', scroll down to BR-8 and select.

Roland will release a new free download-able software for the BR-8 that will convert the BR-8 files to wav and back again, if you have a ZIP drive for your PC. The one thing I don't like about the software was that you could only convert 2 tracks at a time.
