Signature guitars or product endorsement has never been and never will be about who deserves recognition it's entirely about how much exposure a certain product can get. It's based on an individuals popularity not their ability or integrity. That's the easy bit to understand.

The Beatles were a marketing machine. Every teenager in the world was wearing beatle wigs and beatle boots in the early 60's.
She is an incredible songwriter by MOST standards. But, if you are looking for specific standards...
Her records are selling by the millions and she is writing 90% of the songs on the album. So, I guess if the Beatles are considered incredible songwiters because they wrote 80% of the songs on albums that were selling by the millions...she is incredible by THAT standard.
If the Beatles were considered incredible songwriters because of subject matter...like "I want to hold your hand"..."she loves you yeah yeah yeah".
I think she is in the ballpark subject matter wise...so she can be deemed incredible by THAT standard also.
There were 3 of the Beatles writing their songs and there is only one of her so she can be considered 3 times as incredible by THAT standard.

Good songs get recorded and good songwriters get their songs published and covered by major artists.
I have grown tired of people saying "so and so is a great songwriter...they are just so obscure and under rated and don't really have the success and record sales they deserve...blah blah blah"
The cream rises to the top. Highly successful songwriters have chart topping songs because millions of people like their damn songs. Obscure unsuccessful songwriters are broke and starving because you and 1000 other people like their damn songs.
There are songwriters that I like who have not achieved a large degree of success...but I realize that it is just my personal preference and most people would not be into their stuff.
