Small Home Studio?

Hi Guys,
Well im a soon to be a student (6 months away) and will be studying Music Production. And I want to get a bit of a head start and set up my know Studio. This is where you come in to you. I dont really have a clue on whats the good and whats bad.

At the moment all I have is a PC. I have read and watch many articles and just want a few tips and advice from you guys. I dont have heaps of money to spend but am open to things.

A list of whats needed and a few recomondations would help heaps.

Welcome the forums. That's a huge question, man. No one is going to be able to answer it any other way than telling you to keep researching. When you narrow down your choices a little, then we can give better advice. There's just way, way too many variable otherwise.
